Just a quick note to let you know that there won’t be a ‘Cultural Consumption’ column this month. I think I only finished one book (worth mentioning…) and one movie (… ditto…) in the entire second quarter of 2021, so I’m going to roll that into the Q3 column.

I’ll just come out and admit it: I dropped the ball in the second quarter of 2020. I didn’t read much, I didn’t watch many movies.
So, I’ve been planning a new semi-regular feature for the blog for a while now, and here it is: a quarterly roundup of everything I’ve been reading and watching. It’s a way to share and promote amazing work, and it’s a way to hold myself accountable, so I don’t just keep watching the same few comfort-food movies over and over again.
