I’m going to keep this short. I’ve got a bigger end-of-year thing coming later in the month, and really… November wasn’t much different from any other month this year. I had some good writing days. I edited some photos. Not as many as I wanted, but more than I thought I might.
It wasn’t ideal, but it was fine.
And I’ve accepted that I’m not going to finish the first draft of Birthday Girl by the end of the year. There are too many words and not enough days.
I’m surprisingly ok with not finishing when I’d hoped to. The story finally feels like it’s moving, and I’m a little bit in love with (at least some) of these characters and their world, and I don’t feel like I’m going to be starting from zero when I come back to writing in January.
That’s all I really want.
