So! This month!
My creative life has pretty much been taken over by NaNoWriMo. Which isn't a bad thing - I kind of knew that was going to happen, and I planned accordingly. But it doesn't really leave me with a lot to talk about here. Despite the cold that knocked me back last week, I'm on track to reach 50,000 words by the end of the month (!!), but I'm only about two thirds of the way through the story. I'm going to keep writing until it's done (hopefully sometime before Christmas), and I'll have some kind of postmortem for you then. Right now, I'm still too close to the whole thing to really talk about it much.
The last two weeks, I've been: making | chipping | falling | finalizing | craving | listening | slipping | processing | trying | thinking
About a year ago, when I was making the list of prompts for this project, I intentionally added a few things that were... difficult. Prompts that don't lend themselves to a visual medium like photography.
I had so many ideas for this prompt. And, in the end, I couldn't quite make any of them work the way I originally intended. So, as has happened so many times during this project, I had to improvise.
Sort of. I'm still really busy with NaNoWriMo (so busy), and I'm still processing my emotions from the US election (I sort of feel like I'm going to have something to say about that, but... I'm not sure. I might not be up to an entire post on the subject). But I'm slowly figuring out how to balance writing with everything else I want to do, and I figure it's time to get back to work on this "weekly" project.
So! The last two weeks! I've been: trying | working | daydreaming | wishing | baking | feeling | making | figuring | buying | hoping
